This website provides details of the proposed development at The Victoria.

The second public consultation event will be held on Wednesday 19th November from 4-8 pm at Couper Institute Library, 84 Clarkston Road, Glasgow, G44 3DA.

Representatives of the applicant and the design team will be available at the event to answer questions and give more detail on the proposals. You will have the opportunity to provide your thoughts and comments on the proposals via the feedback survey at the event or by contacting Farningham Planning Ltd. by email or post at the details provided at the bottom of this page. Feedback on Event 1 material is welcomed for 14 days following Event 1.

Introduction

Collective Architecture have been developing proposals on behalf of Beech Grove Homes Ltd, part of the Sanctuary Group, for Phase III of the Victoria, part of the wider Victoria development strategy. This development sees the former Category B Listed hospital building brought back into use as housing, safeguarding the future of a key local building in Glasgow Southside.

Consultation Process

The Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) has been submitted by Farningham Planning Ltd on behalf of Beech Grove Homes Ltd, part of the Sanctuary Group, and provides the planning authority prior notice of a planning application. As part of the PAN process two public drop-in events will be held for members of the public, as per Scottish Government requirements, and as set out on the PAN form.

In addition, consultation activity will comprise:

  • Dedicated website outlining pre-application consultation details (including how to engage and time limits) development proposals, background, and contact information.

  • Offer of meeting with named parties within the PAN form (Local Councillors and Community Councils).

  • Time period for comments to the public drop-in events will be available until 21 days following publication of the local newspaper advert or 14 days following the second drop in consultation, whichever is the later.

  • Online consultation will comply with current Data Protection obligations.
